Rogelio Gombal started the match with the kick off. Octavio Lauaxeta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fritz Nettig's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute, Christian Streich got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Streich in the 22nd minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Octavio Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Lauaxeta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heimko Schober in the 24th minute of the match. Jannik Huth made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Segundo Neron sent off a good shot on target. Segundo Neron hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute Fritz Nettig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavio Lauaxeta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Christian Streich got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Gunther Trendelenburg kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christian Streich in the 41st minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Octavio Lauaxeta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Octavio Lauaxeta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Heimko Schober, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fritz Nettig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Octavio Lauaxeta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Fritz Nettig to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Fritz Nettig got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Christian Streich got a free kick in the 57th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Simbo FC's zone, Roland Täger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Octavio Lauaxeta came out of the goal and Roland Täger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Simbo FC's Delmar Eguerdi got a free kick in the 71st minute. Roger Dohmen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Octavio Lauaxeta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Paolo Rumaldo lost his temper 76 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Simbo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 78 minutes, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Batho König got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Octavio Lauaxeta. Segundo Neron scored 1-2 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jannik Huth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heimko Schober came free with the goalkeeper in the 93rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Octavio Lauaxeta could save by the left post. When SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Fritz Nettig in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
