After 17 minutes, Igor Valdivia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Couto Mixto F.C. and the Säfvahöjden players grew even worse after the yellow card. When Eustaquio Carballeira fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Couto Mixto F.C.'s protests and gave Eustaquio Carballeira a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Couto Mixto F.C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Eustaquio Carballeira hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Håkan Petersson in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

During this time Säfvahöjden's players had a chance to rest. 76 minutes into the match, Couto Mixto F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Håkan Petersson came free, but Arturo Baños reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 78 minutes into the game, one of Säfvahöjden:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. 80 minutes into the match, Igor Valdivia notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Säfvahöjden's Nono Gol. Nono Gol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
