The tension between the VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna and the VN Ultra Spartak players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna's Hector Benoist got a free kick in the 4th minute. VN Ultra Spartak's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Igor Szpakowski in the 6th minute. A nice corner shot did that Igor Szpakowski got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcos Stens quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 11 minutes into the game, Nedko Pehlivanov threw the ball into play from the sideline. VN Ultra Spartak's Igor Szpakowski quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Cristiano Lewandowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Marcos Stens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Quinteros came free, but Albérico Bernardes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristiano Lewandowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristiano Lewandowski struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Marcos Stens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VN Ultra Spartak. In the 21st minute of the match VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna got a corner. VN Ultra Spartak's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ulises Quinteros ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ulises Quinteros made a great header on VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna's corner, it was just that VN Ultra Spartak's Albérico Bernardes managed to reach the ball for a save. With a little luck, VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna's Marcos Stens got control of the ball when Cristiano Lewandowski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute Radoslav Klimentov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albérico Bernardes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 played minutes VN Ultra Spartak got a freekick which was hit by Ikonom Dedov. Cristiano Lewandowski might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcos Stens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Lewandowski ran back to his position shaking his head. 39 minutes into the match, VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna's goalkeeper Marcos Stens had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristiano Lewandowski. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Lewandowski got free with Marcos Stens in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cristiano Lewandowski came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the VN Ultra Spartak fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Lewandowski couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristiano Lewandowski in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcos Stens prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Lewandowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Marcos Stens made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Lewandowski was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Cristiano Lewandowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Marcos Stens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Lewandowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna made a substitution. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Ulises Quinteros managed to get in a good position for a shot. VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna's supporters rose to their feet, but Ulises Quinteros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Albérico Bernardes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th minute Cristiano Lewandowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcos Stens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, VN Ultra Spartak's goal looked a bit too open when Stoyan Piperkov came free, but Albérico Bernardes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cristiano Lewandowski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Stens read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Delcho Chaev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Albérico Bernardes made a huge save. Albérico Bernardes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhelyo Boyadzhov in the 91st minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the VN FK LEVSKI-1914-Varna players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VN Ultra Spartak.
