To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper Juan Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristóvão Paranaense. Fausto Soares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 72nd minute. Izaltina FAD's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 73 played minutes Nova Erechim - FSCMZ got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Chaves. 78 minutes into the match, Izaltina FAD's goal looked a bit too open when Neymar Santos came free, but Diego Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristóvão Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Izaltina FAD players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
