Arian Beqaj didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Guido Vissenaeken went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Beek City's zone, Jaspar Van Den Broeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arian Beqaj came out of the goal and Jaspar Van Den Broeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vítor Baia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marciano Hendrickx in the 45th minute. In the 46th match minute, Brugge United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Herbert Pietrowicz to maneuver through the defense.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnauld Van Impe in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arian Beqaj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arian Beqaj made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arnauld Van Impe in the 81st minute. Vítor Baia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josef Valkenaers in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Brugge United's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Hendrickx came free, but Vítor Baia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was a well-played corner which Gustav Siöman managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Waud Huijbrechts might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arian Beqaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waud Huijbrechts ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Arnauld Van Impe dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arian Beqaj, 3-4.

Brugge United's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
