The goal made the score 1-0. After some careless play in the Club Deportes Santa Cruz defense, Lisandro Mikolas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilkka Markkula. The Club Deportes Santa Cruz fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilkka Markkula should have stopped the shot. Nilton Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yan Zhi Chuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ilkka Markkula showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrián Czornomaz in the 11th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Mikolas came free, but Ilkka Markkula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nilton Lira was a little too slow when Yan Zhi Chuan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 3-1. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrián Czornomaz in the 26th minute of play. In the 26th minute, Eduardo Elia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 27 played minutes, Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Nereo Inge shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Tupper in the 31st minute of play forced Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s goalkeeper Nilton Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ilkka Markkula showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrián Czornomaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Nilton Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raimundo Tupper in the 37th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Nilton Lira threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Yan Zhi Chuan, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adrián Czornomaz made a kick off. The referee ignored Club Deportes Santa Cruz's protests and gave Juan Estevan Hamdorf a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Estevan Hamdorf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Elia lost his temper 62 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Eduardo Elia hit a great ball. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. Ilkka Markkula came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s Nereo Inge. But to his dismay, Nereo Inge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Nilton Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trayko Gradinarski in the 69th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Adrián Czornomaz put it in 3-4 from a short distance just to the right of Ilkka Markkula. After 79 played minutes Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Ellande. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. made a substitution. Hortêncio Montenegro replaced Adrián Czornomaz. Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. made a substitution. Aaron Hegoi replaced Nereo Inge. The supporters of Club Deportes Santa Cruz booed when Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Ellande didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilton Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trayko Gradinarski, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The corner led to Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Silvio Navia getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal.

Ȓᾄvἔᾗṩ Ғ.Ƈ.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
