Luis Täger was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Programayin made a substitution. Hamza Emin replaced Rosario Martel. Froilan Reyes came free with the goalkeeper in the 41st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hans-Jürgen Pötscher could save by the left post. Parque Europa FC's Emanuel Löfkvist quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Elvio Vásquez, made in the 42nd minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elvio Vásquez during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 43 played minutes Programayin got a freekick which was hit by Elvio Vásquez. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Hamza Emin made the kick off in the second half. Luis Täger made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Hamza Emin sent off a good shot on target.
