Cüneyt Arkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nazım Ocak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joar Scheie having to interfere. The SeLaMaLeKiM fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 16 minutes into the game, Pan Wei Quan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cüneyt Arkin. Pan Wei Quan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. A collision led to SeLaMaLeKiM getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Anıl Ozan Satılmış hit a great ball. Sven-Olof Vestlund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cüneyt Arkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cüneyt Arkin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 25th minute. 29 minutes into the match, CAN ERZURUM's Sven-Olof Vestlund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cüneyt Arkin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joar Scheie prevented the ball from getting in the gole.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sven-Olof Vestlund stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cüneyt Arkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Olof Vestlund in the 59th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sven-Olof Vestlund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cüneyt Arkin was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 61 minutes into the game, Mehmet Halis Salah was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When the match clock showed 84 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Sven-Olof Vestlund sped through SeLaMaLeKiM's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cüneyt Arkin. Charles Puyol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SeLaMaLeKiM's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
