In the 8th minute, Sulev Aare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Konstantinos Kroustallis in the 10th minute of play forced FC Vershina ESPN's goalkeeper Charles-Antoine Carnevalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute, Danko Fuchs reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Horaţiu Petran. The goal made the score 1-0. When Gyál United's Zoltán Varga in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 21st minute, Konstantinos Kroustallis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Horaţiu Petran stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yu Ting Sang's shot from short distance in the 24th minute. When FC Vershina ESPN's Yu Ting Sang in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aristides Domenec got free with Horaţiu Petran in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Vershina ESPN getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Shelton Cho hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zoltán Varga to strike the kick off in the second half. Erwin Bienvenu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli made a huge save. In the 55th minute Danko Fuchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Petran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Január Csillag's late challenge caught a FC Vershina ESPN's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Január Csillag helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes Gyál United got a freekick which was hit by Január Csillag. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zoltán Varga in the 60th minute of play forced FC Vershina ESPN's goalkeeper Charles-Antoine Carnevalli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zoltán Varga, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. If Fernandinho Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gyál United's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
