An unexpectedly hard shot by Grabiel Escorcia in the 30th minute of play forced Sportivo Luan Toro's goalkeeper Robert Davison to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sportivo Luan Toro's zone, Grabiel Escorcia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Davison came out of the goal and Grabiel Escorcia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Damiano Fioravanti was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 34 minutes into the match. Cristiano Aveiro had in the 35thth minute some difficulties stopping Olli Fiedler's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his right side, but he still managed to hold the ball 35 minutes into the match, Olli Fiedler notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Nacional's Cristiano Aveiro. Cristiano Aveiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Nacional getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Cristiano Aveiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martins Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Aveiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Mendez in the 84th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Martins Palermo in the 86th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Aveiro saved Nacional from getting behind. 89 minutes into the match, Justino Roland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Aveiro. Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Justino Roland was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Robert Davison showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grabiel Escorcia, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sportivo Luan Toro had played much better football throughout.
