In the 2nd minute, one of FC Vershina ESPN:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Vershina ESPN. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli had in the 4thth minute some difficulties stopping Aquiles Gana's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. AC Morena's Aquiles Gana got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aquiles Gana might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles-Antoine Carnevalli. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aquiles Gana ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, FC Vershina ESPN's Charles-Antoine Carnevalli got control of the ball when Aquiles Gana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aquiles Gana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Yu Ting Sang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Asteguieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by AC Morena's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Aquiles Gana ran back to his position shaking his head. 36 minutes into the match, FC Vershina ESPN's goal looked a bit too open when Aquiles Gana came free, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danko Fuchs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Jairo Asteguieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aquiles Gana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Charles-Antoine Carnevalli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yu Ting Sang made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Aquiles Gana managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC Morena's supporters rose to their feet, but Aquiles Gana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Vershina ESPN's zone, Aquiles Gana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles-Antoine Carnevalli came out of the goal and Aquiles Gana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. FC Vershina ESPN's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
