Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Adilson Ramalho made the kick off and thus started the match. Zé Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfred Chmelyk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Zé Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sumaré Sport Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 15 played minutes Inazuma Japan got a freekick which was hit by Gilson Prestes. In the 16th minute of the match Jessica Xerifão shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zé Vieira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Abelardo da Fonseca came free, but Richard Fontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sumaré Sport Club's Richard Fontes got control of the ball when Rui Silva tried to sneak it across the goal line. Richard Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rui Silva in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Inazuma Japan's zone, Zé Trigo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Vieira came out of the goal and Zé Trigo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Zé Trigo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 26 minutes into the match, Inazuma Japan's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Trigo came free, but Zé Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adilson Ramalho in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Rui Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Fontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zé Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Trigo in the 36th minute of play. Sumaré Sport Club's Luís Fabiano de Sena managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dorian Penha in the 38 minute of the game. After some careless play in the Inazuma Japan defense, Alfred Chmelyk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zé Vieira. The Inazuma Japan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zé Vieira should have stopped the shot. When Zé Trigo came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Sumaré Sport Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Trigo couldn't finish the play. Zé Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfred Chmelyk to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Sumaré Sport Club's Zé Trigo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zé Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 53 minutes, Zé Trigo took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Zé Vieira to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dorian Penha during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute Alfred Chmelyk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabrício Félix hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Inazuma Japan's Zé Vieira got control of the ball when Jessica Xerifão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfred Chmelyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Richard Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Silva in the 74th minute of the match. A collision led to Sumaré Sport Club getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Oswaldo Furlan hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Trigo got free with Zé Vieira in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zé Trigo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Zé Vieira made a huge save. The supporters of Inazuma Japan booed when Sumaré Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Furlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Eliseu Dante in the 92nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Richard Fontes's left hand side. The Sumaré Sport Club supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sumaré Sport Club would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
