Tiger De Hond recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC UGNINIAI:s Ildefonso Niguel showed great skill when he stopped Adib Ovi:s penalty. Ildefonso Niguel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiger De Hond, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Ildefonso Niguel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mauro Primeiro in the 15th minute. After a rather tough play, FC UGNINIAI's Ramūnas Klimas got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ildefonso Niguel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mauro Primeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Poli Timisoara's Çağdaş Yuvakuran got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 23 played minutes, FC UGNINIAI's Kazimierz Buczak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ovidiu Adrian came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC UGNINIAI reached it. 24 minutes into the match, FC UGNINIAI's goalkeeper Ildefonso Niguel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sascha Kulovitz. With a little luck, FC UGNINIAI's Ildefonso Niguel got control of the ball when Mauro Primeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Dominykas Aurila's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Adrian was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Erland in the 28th minute of play forced FC UGNINIAI's goalkeeper Ildefonso Niguel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidiu Adrian was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ildefonso Niguel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauro Primeiro in the 42nd minute of play. FC UGNINIAI's Ildefonso Niguel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save FC UGNINIAI from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute, Çağdaş Yuvakuran left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poli Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andi Carlsen made a kick off. Tiger De Hond kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. If Bartosz Erland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Poli Timisoara booed when FC UGNINIAI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isidoro Martin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in FC UGNINIAI's zone, Mauro Primeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ildefonso Niguel came out of the goal and Mauro Primeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauro Primeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Ildefonso Niguel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 81 minutes into the match, FC UGNINIAI's Eugenio Oliverios sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidiu Adrian narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo José Furlan hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute of the match Horst-Peter Unterberger shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ildefonso Niguel showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 85 minutes, Mauro Primeiro made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. FC UGNINIAI's Ildefonso Niguel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Mauro Primeiro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ildefonso Niguel was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Poli Timisoara players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
