Dal 3ello's Leopoldo Loureiro got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Igor Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nurkan Bayar in the 20th minute of the match. Igor Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nurkan Bayar in the 21st minute of play. Gökçen Safa was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Leopoldo Loureiro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo Loureiro really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Leopoldo Loureiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gökçen Safa having to make a save. Gökçen Safa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leopoldo Loureiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in İZMİR&GS's zone, Leopoldo Loureiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind İZMİR&GS's goalkeeper Gökçen Safa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erman Özmert to make the kick off. The supporters of Dal 3ello booed when İZMİR&GS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hurşit Kurban didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dal 3ello's goalkeeper Igor Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the game, İZMİR&GS's Erman Özmert nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Igor Taffarel made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Dal 3ello's Felipe Dal Bello was substituted for Benjamin Dal Bello. 89 minutes into the match, İZMİR&GS's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Dal Bello came free, but Gökçen Safa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Mehmet Bedri Ağaverdi managed to get in a good position for a shot. İZMİR&GS's supporters rose to their feet, but Mehmet Bedri Ağaverdi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Taffarel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 91st minute, Ronaldo Dal Bello made a precise shot to the right of Gökçen Safa. İZMİR&GS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dal 3ello fans cheered their team off the field, for while İZMİR&GS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
