In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Jaime Ubarna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 6th minute, Melchor Baristo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Henry Leutwyler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 9 minutes into the match, JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Jaime Ubarna had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Florian Reufer. Florian Reufer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Henry Leutwyler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgardo Leizarraga in the 14th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Liver Bird's goal looked a bit too open when Edgardo Leizarraga came free, but Henry Leutwyler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Melchor Baristo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 26th minute of the match, Duncan Schwarz tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jaime Ubarna saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 26th minute, JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's Sebastian Morquio seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sebastian Morquio the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sebastian Morquio had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 26th minute. Penalty! Duncan Schwarz shot the penalty kick right outside the post. 30 minutes into the match, JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's goal looked a bit too open when Duncan Schwarz came free, but Jaime Ubarna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 minutes of play, Liver Bird's Jonny Gutknecht made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Ubarna was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 44th minute Camilo Giguère shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jaime Ubarna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Duncan Schwarz made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camilo Giguère in the 54th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonny Gutknecht in the 56th minute of play forced JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Jaime Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jaime Ubarna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duncan Schwarz in the 56th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's Romulo Theobald got a free kick in the 57th minute. Liver Bird's Henry Leutwyler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgardo Leizarraga in the 60th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Duncan Schwarz in the 61st minute of play forced JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Jaime Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute Amancio Eusko shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Leutwyler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edgardo Leizarraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Henry Leutwyler made a huge save. Duncan Schwarz took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jaime Ubarna. Jaime Ubarna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-4. Jaime Ubarna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duncan Schwarz in the 90th minute of play. Cleto Garaona's late challenge caught a Liver Bird's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleto Garaona helped the player get up and apologised. After 94 minutes of play, Liver Bird's Camilo Giguère made it 3-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Ubarna was left in no man's land by his defense there! The JORGE NEWBERY FUTBOL CLUB players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
