After a rather tough play, Fae Folgore's Dariusz Kluczyk got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With his leg Teobald Kociniewski managed to avoid a goal in the 4thth minute, when KV Schoonwater's Hugo Gijselinx fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luke Scheerens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Fabelo in the 8th minute of play. After 10 minutes KV Schoonwater's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mariusz Sebzda who took care of the corner kick. After having played for 12 minutes, Marco Fabelo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fae Folgore's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marco Fabelo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Marco Fabelo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luke Scheerens was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. A collision led to KV Schoonwater getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Enzo Van den Berch hit a great ball. Teobald Kociniewski made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Hugo Gijselinx sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the KV Schoonwater defense, Marco Fabelo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luke Scheerens. The KV Schoonwater fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luke Scheerens should have stopped the shot. Luke Scheerens showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Fabelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 45th minute Axell De Ketelaere shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teobald Kociniewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marco Fabelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. KV Schoonwater's Luke Scheerens played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Fabelo in the 51st minute of play. KV Schoonwater's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Marco Fabelo scored to the left of an out of position Luke Scheerens, making the score, 0-3. 64 minutes had been played when some careless play by KV Schoonwater's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariusz Sebzda was slow to take the kick. During this time Fae Folgore's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Fae Folgore's corner Mariusz Sebzda fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Luke Scheerens quite easily take care of the ball. In the 65th match minute, KV Schoonwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jurgen Mallaerts to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, KV Schoonwater's Jurgen Mallaerts got a free kick in the 67th minute. Luke Scheerens was a little too slow when Marco Fabelo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-4. Marco Fabelo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luke Scheerens having to make a save. Luke Scheerens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marco Fabelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Marco Fabelo scored 0-5 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Luke Scheerens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 86 minutes into the game, Jeremey Wolfs was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. KV Schoonwater's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fae Folgore the free kick. In the 86th match minute, KV Schoonwater was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremey Wolfs to maneuver through the defense. KV Schoonwater's Jarno Jongbloedt was substituted for Diedrik Morreels. In the 87th minute, Jeremey Wolfs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariusz Sebzda struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Luke Scheerens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fae Folgore.
