The supporters of The Nerd Herd booed when Club Deportes Santa Cruz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yan Zhi Chuan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as The Nerd Herd's Marian Banas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ilkka Markkula. That made the score 2-1 after 31 minutes of play. Yan Zhi Chuan charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yan Zhi Chuan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 36 played minutes Club Deportes Santa Cruz got a freekick which was hit by Yan Zhi Chuan. The Nerd Herd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marian Banas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 89 minutes into the match, The Nerd Herd's goalkeeper Lars Bergo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trayko Gradinarski. Marcus Edström took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lars Bergo. Lars Bergo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Hüseyin Rahmi Toper got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Club Deportes Santa Cruz played a much better game than The Nerd Herd and deserved their victory. The The Nerd Herd players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
