The SK Mons fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when SK Mons's Steven Puttemans looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Alexander Trasatti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Connor Osmond having to interfere. If 高浩渊 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steven Puttemans stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Peng Xu got free with 蒋延奕 in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
