The ball went over the crossbar instead. 21 minutes into the match, Szentlőrinc SE's goal looked a bit too open when Chi-Chi Branca came free, but Dénes Dibusz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Serafino Urko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dénes Dibusz having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chi-Chi Branca got free with Dénes Dibusz in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the game, Chi-Chi Branca recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Dénes Dibusz. Chi-Chi Branca showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Chi-Chi Branca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Dénes Dibusz made a huge save. András Káposztás kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. János Dénes struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Andrea Cellucci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Szentlőrinc SE. After having played for 47 minutes, Chi-Chi Branca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Granville's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chi-Chi Branca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Szentlőrinc SE's goalkeeper Dénes Dibusz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. József Kiss's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Andrea Cellucci firmly grabbed it by the left post. Andrea Cellucci made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when József Kiss sent off a good shot on target. Chi-Chi Branca might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dénes Dibusz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chi-Chi Branca ran back to his position shaking his head. Szentlőrinc SE's Norbert Székely was substituted for András Borsó. A collision led to Granville getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. The Szentlőrinc SE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dénes Dibusz should have stopped the shot. Granville's Julio Cruz quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zsigmond Ambrus, made in the 86th minute of the game. Dario Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Dénes Dibusz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anselmo Hernando went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Szentlőrinc SE's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
