Egun Pais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Peter Blomkvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Andy Cole sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Andy Cole might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicasio Abad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andy Cole ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Floresta Negra FC's Egun Pais got control of the ball when Peter Blomkvist tried to sneak it across the goal line. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Nicasio Abad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Cole in the 24th minute of play. If Peter Blomkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Egun Pais made an important save on a dangerous shot by Peter Blomkvist in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Jerzy Zjawin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Floresta Negra FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerzy Zjawin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicasio Abad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egun Pais made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Peter Blomkvist sent off a good shot on target. Nicasio Abad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andy Cole in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Floresta Negra FC got a corner. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jerzy Zjawin ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s goalie and right to Gafur Dolunay. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Peter Blomkvists short, quick shot in the 42ndth minute got Egun Pais to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Joel Enekoitz's late challenge caught a Floresta Negra FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joel Enekoitz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Joel Enekoitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Floresta Negra FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Guto Gamarra hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andy Cole to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Floresta Negra FC's Andy Cole sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nicasio Abad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Floresta Negra FC's Jardel Lewandowski was substituted for Andy Cole. 70 minutes in the game Samuel Nava did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Pietro Salles. 72 minutes into the game, Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥'s Pietro Salles nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Egun Pais made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Pietro Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Egun Pais. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pietro Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. Egun Pais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pietro Salles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blas Frances made in the 81st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Antonio Alzamendi however managed to control. Egun Pais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pietro Salles in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Jerzy Zjawin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Floresta Negra FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Zjawin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Nava made in the 94th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pietro Salles. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Monterrey ante el Mundo⛥ had won after a very even match.
