In the 10th minute, Erwin Bienvenu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gyál United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Andreas Pantazos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 24 played minutes SYROS21 FC got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Simos. Ferdinand Baldovin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Horaţiu Petran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andreas Pantazos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zoltán Varga's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. In the 48th minute Erwin Bienvenu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Pantazos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pavlos Pantelis to strike the kick off in the second half. Erwin Bienvenus short, quick shot in the 51stth minute got Andreas Pantazos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Horaţiu Petran was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Lazaros Rota fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SYROS21 FC's protests and gave Lazaros Rota a yellow card for diving instead. In the 74th minute of the match, Erwin Bienvenu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Andreas Pantazos was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Zoltán Varga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SYROS21 FC's Andreas Pantazos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save SYROS21 FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Gyál United's Konstantinos Kroustallis got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 85th minute, Gyál United's Erwin Bienvenu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Andreas Pantazos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zoltán Varga in the 94th minute of play. The supporters of Gyál United booed when SYROS21 FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kostas Simos didn't get a good kick on the ball. 1-8 became the score in the 95th minute when Zoltán Varga elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The Gyál United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Gyál United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
