In the 8thth minute of the game Göran Vedholm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Academia 1903's Primo Speranza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Timoteo Columbo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute Timoteo Columbo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Greid Tinsmith saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harald Ek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Greid Tinsmith having to interfere. Carlos Figueroa made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Timoteo Columbo however managed to control. Greid Tinsmith took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucien de Neutere, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Doffes Damer's Göran Vedholm managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carlos Figueroa in the 28 minute of the game. Timoteo Columbo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Greid Tinsmith made a huge save. In the 40th minute of the match, Jeremias Ezkerra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Greid Tinsmith saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Academia 1903 were awarded a corner in the 41th minute after Doffes Damer's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Harald Ek took the corner. If Jeremias Ezkerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Academia 1903's Primo Speranza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inge Braa in the 45th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Inge Braa in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Primo Speranza saved Academia 1903 from getting behind. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Inge Braa to make the kick off. Academia 1903 made a substitution. Gérard Magyar replaced Harald Ek. Thiago Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Carlos Figueroa hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Doffes Damer made a substitution. Ronaldo Cristi replaced Inge Braa. Doffes Damer's Carl Nordlander was substituted for Pier Kopacz. In the 71st minute, Carlos Figueroa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primo Speranza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Cristi in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 82nd match minute, Doffes Damer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Greid Tinsmith showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucien de Neutere, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Thiago Alcântara hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Ian Finsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Academia 1903's Gérard Magyar tried to score from far away in the 97th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Both players had fought hard during the second half to keep the score at 0-0. The tie meant more entertainment for the crowd as the match moved into extra-time.

Doffes Damer's Greid Tinsmith played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucien de Neutere in the 102nd minute of play. In the 102nd minute, Lucien de Neutere ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Greid Tinsmith was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Doffes Damer players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Academia 1903.
