The audience thought a goal was coming when Timmi Kølander got free with Julio Corral in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julio Corral made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Timmi Kølander sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Kamal Balağayev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Ingmann was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Gabriel Ingmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilyas Talıblı, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, one of FK Baku:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FK Baku. The goalkeeper, Julio Corral, was totally fooled by ATOWN's Henry Hjorslev, who 19 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. ATOWN's Gabriel Ingmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilyas Talıblı in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th match minute, FK Baku was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cümşüd Zülfüqarov to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kamal Balağayev in the 28th minute of play forced ATOWN's goalkeeper Gabriel Ingmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Hjorslev struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Julio Corral didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ATOWN. 31 minutes into the match, ATOWN's goal looked a bit too open when Ilyas Talıblı came free, but Gabriel Ingmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amer El Aska hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. ATOWN's Gabriel Ingmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kamal Balağayev in the 35th minute of play. FK Baku's Julio Corral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save FK Baku from getting a goal against them. The corner led FK Baku's Ilyas Talıblı to fire away a dangerous shot which Gabriel Ingmann despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Timmi Kølander made the kick off in the second half. Cümşüd Zülfüqarov kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Gabriel Ingmann made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Kamal Balağayev sent off a good shot on target. Gabriel Ingmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramiq Muradov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nilton Simão hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute Timmi Kølander shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Corral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gabriel Ingmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramiq Muradov in the 67th minute of play. With 78 minutes on the clock, Amer El Aska commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 78 minutes into the game, one of FK Baku:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave ATOWN a penalty, 81 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Henry Hjorslev, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of FK Baku's Julio Corral. 2-1. Julio Corral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henry Hjorslev in the 85th minute of the match. In the 86th minute Ilyas Talıblı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Ingmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, ATOWN's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiq Muradov came free, but Gabriel Ingmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cümşüd Zülfüqarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Gabriel Ingmann made a huge save. For all the effort they put into the match, the FK Baku players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ATOWN.
