Jardel Meireles started the match with the kick off. Mazinho Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 2nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 7th minute of play forced FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. Hulk Orange kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In the 17th minute Jardel Meireles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maurinho Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mazinho Barreto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 20th minute of the match. If Maurinho Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 22nd minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Maurinho Mendonça came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Maria Cunha got free with Dida Martins in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wellington Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Maurinho Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Mazinho Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brazil. If Diego Di Toma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 36th minute of play. Dida Martins made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when José Maria Cunha sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goalkeeper Mazinho Barreto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 41 minutes into the match, Maurinho Mendonça had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mazinho Barreto. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurinho Mendonça was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Maurinho Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Mazinho Barreto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brazil. FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurinho Mendonça in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA made a substitution. Manoel Mandrak replaced Diego Di Toma. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurinho Mendonça stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dida Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonathan Huly in the 58th minute of the match. Maurinho Mendonça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mazinho Barreto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Mazinho Barreto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Mandrak in the 65th minute of play forced Brazil's goalkeeper Dida Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazinho Barreto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurinho Mendonça in the 67th minute of play. Maurinho Mendonça's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Mazinho Barreto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The corner ended in Marco Vianna almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto did a great save. Dida Martins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manoel Mandrak in the 77th minute of play. Marco Vianna had several of the FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 79 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Mazinho Barreto as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 84th minute José Maria Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! In the 88th minute, Marco Vianna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mazinho Barreto. The goal made the score 0-3. In the 93rdth minute of the game Marco Vianna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's Mazinho Barreto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Marco Vianna's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mazinho Barreto was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Jacinto Piarres hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Jacinto Piarres charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jacinto Piarres the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Mazinho Barreto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marco Vianna in the 96th minute. 98 minutes into the match, FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Vianna came free, but Mazinho Barreto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 100 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Marco Vianna sped through FORMIGÃO DE BRAGA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Mazinho Barreto. The Brazil supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Brazil would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
