The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amador Merexildo in the 3rd minute of play forced Honung's goalkeeper Aristide Beșliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Roos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 5 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Roos came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honung's Aristide Beșliu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amador Merexildo in the 8th minute of play. In the 11th minute Richard Fredriksson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aristide Beșliu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 13 minutes into the match, FC Bullen's goal looked a bit too open when Henry Roos came free, but Toni Schumacher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Henry Roos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toni Schumacher having to make a save. After a rather tough play, FC Bullen's Tord Hökkvist got a free kick in the 18th minute. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Juan Manuel Vargas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aristide Beșliu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richard Fredriksson in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th match minute, FC Bullen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustav Helander to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of FC Bullen booed when Honung was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johan Kilström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Richard Fredriksson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aristide Beșliu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to FC Bullen getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Roger Hellström hit a great ball. FC Bullen's Toni Schumacher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save FC Bullen from getting a goal against them. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Henry Roos to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Henry Roos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toni Schumacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honung's Juan Manuel Vargas got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aristide Beșliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Merexildo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toni Schumacher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henry Roos in the 61st minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Honung's Henry Roos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toni Schumacher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Johan Kilström took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Toni Schumacher. Toni Schumacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
