Esteve Blanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Pernambucano went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Cristobal Patxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Berti in the 16th minute of play forced Estrellas de Caballito's goalkeeper Esteve Blanco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Higinio Porfiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Higinio Porfiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristobal Patxi in the 59th minute of play. Isidoro Playo's late challenge caught a Estrellas de Caballito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Isidoro Playo helped the player get up and apologised. After 60 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Isidoro Playo. LA MAQUINA F.C made a substitution. Osvaldo Linhares replaced Sérgio Berti. LA MAQUINA F.C's Edgard Nahia was substituted for Santo Colas. Isidoro Playo hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Fausto Lertxun ran back to his position shaking his head. Hamish McShimes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Esteve Blanco having to make a save. Omar Gelmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Higinio Porfiro having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Patxi in the 92nd minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Porfiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The score was 1-1 after 90 minutes, which forced the match into extra-time.

With new strength the players walked out on the field for the first half of overtime. Omar Gelmiro in Estrellas de Caballito was the one to initiate the kick off. LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artemio Francho in the 103rd minute of play. After 103 played minutes LA MAQUINA F.C got a freekick which was hit by Edgard Nahia. Estrellas de Caballito were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of LA MAQUINA F.C for a fine match.
