The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Marin came free, but Alisson Becker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maravilla's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by César de Senna in the 5th minute. Maravilla's Nemanja Vidić was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Alisson Becker in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godofredo Marin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cruz Credo in the 10th minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute, Cruz Credo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Kiko Pirani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alisson Becker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cruz Credo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alisson Becker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cruz Credo in the 30th minute of play. With a little luck, Maravilla's Jeronimo Gines got control of the ball when Magno Dantas tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Cruz Credo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cruz Credo in the 43rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Maravilla's César de Senna got a free kick in the 44th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

52 minutes into the match, Buffalo Timişoara's Kiko Pirani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jeronimo Gines narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jeronimo Gines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Benitez in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cruz Credo got free with Alisson Becker in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cruz Credo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alisson Becker came out and tried to block the shot, but Cruz Credo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 67th minute. Buffalo Timişoara's Maxim Pintilie was substituted for Victor Neicu. Wawrzyniec Pysz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jeronimo Gines tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute the ball was on its way in behind Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Maravilla fans' excitement grew in the 80th match minute when Maravilla's Cruz Credo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Maravilla's Cruz Credo in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Buffalo Timişoara's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute, Cruz Credo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Buffalo Timişoara's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. César de Senna ran over to the corner to take the kick.

The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maravilla eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
