With a little luck, Blue Mountain State's Robin Sharma got control of the ball when Vladimiro Granja tried to sneak it across the goal line. Niculae Buznea made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Yaser Oğuzman. Blue Mountain State's attentive Afşar Uçuk managed to snatch the ball when Lázaro Ramalho made a throw-in in the 30th minute of the game. A collision led to MZ Fénix getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Florin Dragușin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, MZ Fénix's Vladimiro Granja got a free kick in the 41st minute. Yaser Oğuzman kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cai Yuan Yuan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aykut Aşkın sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Blue Mountain State's Gökcan Bergin was substituted for Aykut Aşkın. 74 minutes into the match, Lionel-Andrés Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pankracy Zajonc. MZ Fénix's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lionel-Andrés Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Cai Yuan Yuan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Robin Sharma having to make a save. Robin Sharma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cai Yuan Yuan in the 79th minute of play. Blue Mountain State's Lionel-Andrés Messi managed to work through MZ Fénix's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Lionel-Andrés Messi dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. If Lionel-Andrés Messi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, MZ Fénix's goalkeeper Pankracy Zajonc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lionel-Andrés Messi. Lázaro Ramalho made in the 96th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Aras Görkem Kaymaz immediately put the ball in play.

Blue Mountain State's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
