After 6 minutes of play, Nouvelle Vague's Casimiro Ugutz made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Menios Chloros was left in no man's land by his defense there! 9 minutes into the match, Casimiro Ugutz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Menios Chloros. Mean Machine's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Casimiro Ugutz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mean Machine's Menios Chloros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juninho Juni in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute Nouvelle Vague were awarded a corner. Casimiro Ugutz went to the cornerflag to take it. Nouvelle Vague's Inocencio Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miltos Makris in the 22nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Nedim Emekli took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Inocencio Felipo to make any attempt to save it. When Nouvelle Vague's Casimiro Ugutz in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 35th minute Casimiro Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Menios Chloros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Nouvelle Vague's goal looked a bit too open when Miltos Makris came free, but Inocencio Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 38 played minutes Nouvelle Vague got a freekick which was hit by Cayetano Cordaro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carles Pujol got free with Inocencio Felipo in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 44 minutes into the match, Archibaldo Peñaranda notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of Nouvelle Vague's Inocencio Felipo. Inocencio Felipo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The wind increased when Nedim Emekli made the kick off in the second half. Inocencio Felipo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carles Pujol, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the match, Mean Machine's goalkeeper Menios Chloros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Casimiro Ugutz. In the 56th minute, Nouvelle Vague's Casimiro Ugutz dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-4. After 58 played minutes Mean Machine got a freekick which was hit by Daniil Bonoris. After a rather tough play, Nouvelle Vague's Juninho Juni got a free kick in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Stasinos in the 74th minute of play forced Nouvelle Vague's goalkeeper Inocencio Felipo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mean Machine's Menios Chloros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Henrico in the 83rd minute of play. In the 86th minute, Luis Henrico left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nouvelle Vague fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-5. 90 minutes into the game, Nedim Emekli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-5. Inocencio Felipo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luis Henrico received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Menios Chloros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Nouvelle Vague supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Nouvelle Vague would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
