In the 8th minute, Romeo Pardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th match minute, Abasto FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carolo Gutxi to maneuver through the defense. After 16 played minutes, Clube Esportivo Saudade's Galsino Bajo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leon Pilkington came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Clube Esportivo Saudade reached it. The audience was convinced that Prometeo Garay's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leon Pilkington was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 27thth minute of the game Prometeo Garay who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Abasto FC's Leon Pilkington was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zuriko Urbieta in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leon Pilkington saved Abasto FC from getting behind. The supporters of Abasto FC booed when Clube Esportivo Saudade was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sinforoso Salan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gabriel-Omar Batista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raphael Mayol having to interfere. Javier Quexal hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Abasto FC's zone, Prometeo Garay stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leon Pilkington came out of the goal and Prometeo Garay tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute, one of Abasto FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Abasto FC. Abasto FC:s Leon Pilkington showed great skill when he stopped Galsino Bajo:s penalty. After 48 minutes of play, Clube Esportivo Saudade's Prometeo Garay made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leon Pilkington was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Clube Esportivo Saudade were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Clube Esportivo Saudade were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Abasto FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Galsino Bajo took the corner. Leon Pilkington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zuriko Urbieta in the 57th minute. Abasto FC's Leon Pilkington proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Abasto FC from getting a goal against them. Leon Pilkington stood somewhat misplaced when Prometeo Garay came free in front of goal and shot 0-3 to the left of him in the 65 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prometeo Garay in the 72nd minute of play forced Abasto FC's goalkeeper Leon Pilkington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leon Pilkington made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rami Alabern in the 77th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zuriko Urbieta got free with Leon Pilkington in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Leon Pilkington showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prometeo Garay, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. In the 89th minute Prometeo Garay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leon Pilkington saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Norberto Camerino kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Zuriko Urbieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Leon Pilkington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Clube Esportivo Saudade's Prometeo Garay dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Clube Esportivo Saudade played a much better game than Abasto FC and deserved their victory. The Abasto FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
