An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Nascimento in the 40th minute of play forced Unión Deportiva Lanzarote's goalkeeper Austin Sánchez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Morabem EC fans' excitement grew in the 43rd match minute when Morabem EC's Ceferino Cordera looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal.
