Bruce Cornforth made in the 12th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by AA GUARULHOS's Orlando Quadros. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amboy FC's goalkeeper Ariel Mourelatos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st match minute, AA GUARULHOS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wei Feng Yao to maneuver through the defense. AA GUARULHOS's Carlos Alberto Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save AA GUARULHOS from getting a goal against them. Carlos Alberto Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valerio Spadoni in the 24th minute of the match. In the 27th minute Karin Benzema shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ariel Mourelatos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute, Karin Benzema left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AA GUARULHOS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Karin Benzema recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 39th minute Valerio Spadoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A throw-in in the 43rd minute of the game was made by Bruce Cornforth with Cornelio Rius as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. If Mario Alberto Abascal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Amboy FC booed when AA GUARULHOS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gentza Arribas didn't get a good kick on the ball. AA GUARULHOS's Ermegildo Itzaina was substituted for Karin Benzema. Gentza Arribas hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The Amboy FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. AA GUARULHOS were winning 0-1.

After 58 played minutes Amboy FC got a freekick which was hit by Shi Sha Quan. Amboy FC made a substitution. Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán replaced Ruperto Modestio. Shi Sha Quan hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Ermegildo Itzaina managed to get in a good position for a shot. AA GUARULHOS's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermegildo Itzaina was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ariel Mourelatos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. AA GUARULHOS made a substitution. Luís Paulo Catarinense replaced Gentza Arribas. Bruce Cornforth made in the 63rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Shi Sha Quan however managed to control. Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lance Cabezas in the 67th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Sture Raknes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 71 minutes into the match, Lance Cabezas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ariel Mourelatos. Amboy FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lance Cabezas was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 76th minute Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Alberto Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AA GUARULHOS's Carlos Alberto Tinoco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cornelio Rius in the 86th minute of play. With a little luck, Amboy FC's Ariel Mourelatos got control of the ball when Edvaldo Torres tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Alberto Tinoco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor-Raul Manenti Fontán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The AA GUARULHOS players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
