With a little luck, Candelaria FC's Lorenzo Omero got control of the ball when Wilfredo Benvide tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 17th minute, Formentera's Wilfredo Benvide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lorenzo Omero. Lorenzo Omero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Lorenzo Omero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Benvide's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute, Wilfredo Benvide reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorenzo Omero. The goal made the score 3-0. Wilfredo Benvide might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Omero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilfredo Benvide ran back to his position shaking his head. Lorenzo Omero made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Wilfredo Benvide sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Omero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wilfredo Benvide. Wilfredo Benvide had several of the Candelaria FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 39 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 6-0 score and a disappointed Lorenzo Omero as he didn't even see the shot coming. 43 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Silviano came free, but Lorenzo Omero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Benvide blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lorenzo Omero having to make a save. Candelaria FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After 74 minutes, Ariel Libertad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Formentera and the Candelaria FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ariel Libertad hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geronimo Silviano came free, but Lorenzo Omero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carmelo Cordario during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Candelaria FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Carmelo Cordario hit a great ball. After 81 minutes of play, Formentera's Wilfredo Benvide made it 10-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lorenzo Omero was left in no man's land by his defense there! Candelaria FC's Lorenzo Omero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Benvide in the 84th minute of play. Wilfredo Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Formentera fully deserved thier win.
