Sérgio Grandi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Franco Szczęsny having to make a save. 6 minutes into the match, Haisenberg Dolar dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Denílson Azevedo, 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Haisenberg Dolar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Denílson Azevedo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Clube Audax Metropolitano's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Alfredinho Rosa in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Jurassic Monsters SA's goal looked a bit too open when Haisenberg Dolar came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Haisenberg Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denílson Azevedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Clube Audax Metropolitano were awarded a corner. Alfredinho Rosa went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Alfredinho Rosa got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Denílson Azevedo quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 18 minutes into the match, Jurassic Monsters SA's goal looked a bit too open when Haisenberg Dolar came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Grandi took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Franco Szczęsny. Franco Szczęsny dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With his leg Denílson Azevedo managed to avoid a goal in the 35thth minute, when Clube Audax Metropolitano's Haisenberg Dolar fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 47th minute Sérgio Grandi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Szczęsny saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Luiz Mendes made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Valdo Macedo however managed to control. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Maicon Mattos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Luiz Mendes in the 55 minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Haisenberg Dolar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denílson Azevedo was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 61 minutes into the match, Jurassic Monsters SA's goal looked a bit too open when Haisenberg Dolar came free, but Denílson Azevedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denílson Azevedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haisenberg Dolar in the 64th minute of play. In the 64thth minute of the game Haisenberg Dolar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jurassic Monsters SA's Denílson Azevedo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 66 played minutes Jurassic Monsters SA got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Mendes. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Délio Azevedo was substituted for Emanuel Esteves. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Eriberto Netto was substituted for Haisenberg Dolar. In the 67th minute, Luiz Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jurassic Monsters SA's Denílson Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Netto in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jurassic Monsters SA's zone, Maicon Mattos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denílson Azevedo came out of the goal and Maicon Mattos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Franco Szczęsny showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sérgio Grandi in the 76th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Jurassic Monsters SA defense, Eriberto Netto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Denílson Azevedo. The Jurassic Monsters SA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Denílson Azevedo should have stopped the shot. Jurassic Monsters SA's Denílson Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eriberto Netto in the 89th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Eriberto Netto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Denílson Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Denílson Azevedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Netto, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Jurassic Monsters SA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
