When Panionios MK's Zisis Chronidis, in the 14th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Panionios MK. Thanks to some nice moves Zisis Chronidis could shoot a difficult shot in the 28th minute, which William Vennersten however easily saved by the left post. Alketas Bourouselos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafal Witkowski in the 29th minute of play. Alketas Bourouselos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils-Emil Wästerberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rafal Witkowski in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alketas Bourouselos saved Panionios MK from getting behind. In the 40thth minute of the game Rafal Witkowski who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Panionios MK's Alketas Bourouselos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by Panionios MK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nils-Emil Wästerberg was slow to take the kick. During this time Honkens Bengaler BK's players had a chance to rest. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacek Ziemniak in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alketas Bourouselos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zisis Chronidis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but William Vennersten read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play.

52 minutes into the match, Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Knut Tingelholm. Rafal Witkowskis short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Alketas Bourouselos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Honkens Bengaler BK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
