Edinho Lira made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Mircea Balint sent off a good shot on target. When Ricardinho Batista fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored INTER FC's protests and gave Ricardinho Batista a yellow card for diving instead. Ricardinho Batista hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Edinho Lira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mircea Balint in the 7th minute. Gullstad SK's Harald Hopp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emerson Cruz in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, INTER FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Herlea came free, but Edinho Lira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Emanuel Herlea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edinho Lira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Ricardinho Batista hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Jan-Joost Roodenburg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edinho Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 24 minutes, Edinho Lira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, INTER FC's Edinho Lira got control of the ball when Mircea Balint tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Herlea in the 27th minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Herlea in the 45th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuel Herlea stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mircea Balint in the 53rd minute of play forced INTER FC's goalkeeper Edinho Lira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edinho Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Joost Roodenburg, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Gullstad SK's Emanuel Herlea in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. INTER FC's Léo Trigo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Harald Hopp but with some difficulty. In the 69th minute, Mircea Balint ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edinho Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Edinho Lira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Onofre, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edinho Lira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 86th match minute, INTER FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bruno Alves to maneuver through the defense. Luís Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 87th minute. Harald Hopp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INTER FC. After having played for 89 minutes, Emanuel Herlea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gullstad SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Emanuel Herlea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edinho Lira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emanuel Herlea's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. Bruno Alves kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Gullstad SK walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
