The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Toto Tualasamony got free with Józef Wandzik in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Benet Amorebieta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Suryo Zaelani having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benet Amorebieta in the 9th minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Suryo Zaelani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benet Amorebieta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Suryo Zaelani having to make a save. In the 11th minute Benet Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Suryo Zaelani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute of the match Dark Drinkers Sanok got a corner. Gala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nando Campidelis ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Wiktor Hludzenski managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. If Benet Amorebieta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benet Amorebieta in the 20th minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Suryo Zaelani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Benet Amorebieta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Suryo Zaelani was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benet Amorebieta in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Suryo Zaelani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Gala defense, Benet Amorebieta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Suryo Zaelani. The Gala fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Suryo Zaelani should have stopped the shot. In the 28th minute, Benet Amorebieta made a precise shot to the right of Suryo Zaelani. Gala's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Dark Drinkers Sanok's attentive Jack Lund managed to snatch the ball when Joe Quintero made a throw-in in the 32nd minute of the game. A sloppy throw-in by Joe Quintero in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Dark Drinkers Sanok's Jack Lund. Suryo Zaelani made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benet Amorebieta in the 41st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matty Cash in the 48th minute of play forced Gala's goalkeeper Suryo Zaelani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Gala getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Isman Bajuri hit a great ball. Suryo Zaelani showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benet Amorebieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by M. Ramdhan Patirajawane in the 55th minute of play forced Dark Drinkers Sanok's goalkeeper Józef Wandzik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute Gala were awarded a corner. Fitrah Bagjanata went to the cornerflag to take it. Józef Wandzik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toto Tualasamony in the 62nd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Benet Amorebieta put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Suryo Zaelani. 67 minutes into the match, Dark Drinkers Sanok's goal looked a bit too open when Toto Tualasamony came free, but Józef Wandzik reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dark Drinkers Sanok's attentive Jack Lund managed to snatch the ball when Gilang Mustaqim made a throw-in in the 69th minute of the game. Benet Amorebieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Suryo Zaelani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute of the match Dark Drinkers Sanok got a corner. Gala's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nando Campidelis ran over to the corner to take the kick. Benet Amorebieta might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Suryo Zaelani. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benet Amorebieta ran back to his position shaking his head. With an all-out effort, Dark Drinkers Sanok's Suryo Zaelani threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Benet Amorebieta, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Gilang Mustaqim made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Dark Drinkers Sanok's Javier Zanetti. The audience was convinced that Benet Amorebieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Suryo Zaelani was relentless in the 78th minute of the game. In the 80th minute Benet Amorebieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Suryo Zaelani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilang Mustaqim made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Nick McDrain however managed to control. A hard shot by Nando Campidelis from long distance, 88 minutes into the match, got Suryo Zaelani's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 96th minute, Isman Bajuri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dark Drinkers Sanok's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
