The crowd rose to their feet as Sporting Club Sicilia's Concetto Rucci slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isidoros Tsagarakis. That made the score 1-0 after 12 minutes of play. PaoK Neapoleos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Dawid Kosakowski in the 16th minute. PaoK Neapoleos's Isidoros Tsagarakis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save PaoK Neapoleos from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the match, PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Concetto Rucci. 20 minutes into the match, PaoK Neapoleos's goalkeeper Isidoros Tsagarakis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Cristos. Isidoros Tsagarakis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Concetto De Nardis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Isidoros Tsagarakis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 36 minutes into the match, Sporting Club Sicilia's goal looked a bit too open when Panagiotis Psaris came free, but Alvaro Sanna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Cristoss short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Isidoros Tsagarakis to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 39th minute of the match, Concetto De Nardis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Isidoros Tsagarakis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Isidoros Tsagarakis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Montel in the 42nd minute. 43 minutes into the match, PaoK Neapoleos's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto De Nardis came free, but Isidoros Tsagarakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 44 played minutes Sporting Club Sicilia got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Montel. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Concetto Rucci made the kick off in the second half. If Concetto Rucci had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vassilis Roubakis came free with the goalkeeper in the 66th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Alvaro Sanna could save by the left post. 68 minutes into the match, PaoK Neapoleos's goal looked a bit too open when Concetto De Nardis came free, but Isidoros Tsagarakis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Sanna made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Panos Barbagiannis sent off a good shot on target. Isidoros Tsagarakis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guaberto Cristos, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The supporters of PaoK Neapoleos booed when Sporting Club Sicilia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position.
