The audience thought a goal was coming when Shea Caballero got free with Angelino Lawrence in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 92 minutes into the match, Pihl United's goal looked a bit too open when Crescencio Guijarro came free, but Gottfrid Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Babhruvahana Baad in the 94th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match was over Pihl United could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Velez-Malaga throughout the match.
