The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Super Chechona FC's Severo Montrelle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Olofsson in the 5th minute of play. Jan-Ove Felin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Modesto Guillen in the 6th minute of play. Severo Montrelle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Neguțu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Super Chechona FC's goal looked a bit too open when Casimiro Otsando came free, but Severo Montrelle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 15 minutes into the match, Vilhelm Olofsson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Severo Montrelle. Super Chechona FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vilhelm Olofsson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Super Chechona FC's Rogelio Tuste managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Artemio Belarmo in the 19 minute of the game. In the 19th minute, Celedonio Iratze hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 24 minutes, Inocencio Froila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Super Chechona FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inocencio Froila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute Vilhelm Olofsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Montrelle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind CABALLEROS NEGROS FC's goalkeeper Jan-Ove Felin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Modesto Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CABALLEROS NEGROS FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 34th minute, when Modesto Guillen scored to the left of an out of position Jan-Ove Felin, making the score, 1-1. In the 37th minute Modesto Guillen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan-Ove Felin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severo Montrelle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casimiro Otsando in the 44th minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vilhelm Olofsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Modesto Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan-Ove Felin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Guillen in the 53rd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Modesto Guillen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in CABALLEROS NEGROS FC's zone, Modesto Guillen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan-Ove Felin came out of the goal and Modesto Guillen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Severo Montrelle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Casimiro Orain, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. After a rather tough play, CABALLEROS NEGROS FC's Hector Dalmai got a free kick in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the CABALLEROS NEGROS FC defense, Modesto Guillen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jan-Ove Felin. The CABALLEROS NEGROS FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jan-Ove Felin should have stopped the shot. CABALLEROS NEGROS FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
