Aggelos Telakos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mecnun Seha, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. In the 16th minute, Mecnun Seha made a precise shot to the right of Aggelos Telakos. George Weahs Academy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The audience was convinced that Žydrūnas Pauža's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aggelos Telakos was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 30th minute, Riho Ringo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Mecnun Seha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aggelos Telakos was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Franco Burgos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tayfun Tanfer came out and tried to block the shot, but Franco Burgos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 35th minute. In the 41st minute, Riho Ringo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ngina Njoroge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Tayfun Tanfer made a huge save.

MarineerS FK's Ján Novák was substituted for Derviş Akçınar. The wind increased when Franco Burgos made the kick off in the second half. George Weahs Academy's Aggelos Telakos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ján Novák in the 59th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tayfun Tanfer saved MarineerS FK from getting behind. The supporters of MarineerS FK booed when George Weahs Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charles Wemba didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, John Antolin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MarineerS FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Antolin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tayfun Tanfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind George Weahs Academy's goalkeeper Aggelos Telakos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Franco Burgos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. MarineerS FK's Davide Tonon was substituted for Žydrūnas Pauža. MarineerS FK made a substitution. Hatemi Akyel replaced Lucien Vercalsteren. When George Weahs Academy's Franco Burgos in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye MarineerS FK's goalie prevented a goal. 85 minutes into the match, George Weahs Academy's goalkeeper Aggelos Telakos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davide Tonon. Tayfun Tanfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mwai Emilio Otieno in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Franco Burgos managed to get in a good position for a shot. George Weahs Academy's supporters rose to their feet, but Franco Burgos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tayfun Tanfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Ján Novák kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Aggelos Telakos. That made the score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play. In the 98th minute, Ján Novák ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aggelos Telakos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The MarineerS FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing MarineerS FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
