SV Balverliefd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Virgil Lindelöf in the 9th minute. The corner ended in Virgil Lindelöf almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir did a great save. 14 minutes into the match, Galatasaray SK's goal looked a bit too open when Felix van As came free, but Latif Al Fakir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Aykutalp Tecelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Homan, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Latif Al Fakir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Lindelöf in the 28th minute of play. SV Balverliefd were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after Galatasaray SK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Virgil Lindelöf took the corner. In the 30th minute of the match SV Balverliefd got a corner. Galatasaray SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Virgil Lindelöf ran over to the corner to take the kick. Virgil Lindelöf made a great header on SV Balverliefd's corner, it was just that Galatasaray SK's Latif Al Fakir managed to reach the ball for a save. Latif Al Fakir showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aykutalp Tecelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Cristiano Hagi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Galatasaray SK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 44 minutes into the game, Jyrki Kujanpää cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Latif Al Fakir was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristiano Hagi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anders Målare to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aykutalp Tecelli in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Latif Al Fakir saved Galatasaray SK from getting behind. In the 58th minute of the match SV Balverliefd got a corner. Galatasaray SK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aykutalp Tecelli got free with Latif Al Fakir in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray SK's zone, Steven Homan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Latif Al Fakir came out of the goal and Steven Homan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Valeriy Chernetsov kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SV Balverliefd's Virgil Lindelöf got a free kick in the 90th minute. 91 minutes into the game, Galatasaray SK's Cristiano Hagi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yorrick Zoethout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. Aykutalp Tecelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Latif Al Fakir having to make a save. The Galatasaray SK players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
