The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's Brian Montenegro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alex Frasca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brian Montenegro in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Frasca saved Garanhão do SUL from getting behind. After 7 minutes of play, C.A Gryffindor's Brian Montenegro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alex Frasca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Brian Montenegro took the ball and in the 9 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alex Frasca. Alex Frasca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brian Montenegro in the 12th minute of play forced Garanhão do SUL's goalkeeper Alex Frasca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 13th minute of the match C.A Gryffindor got a corner. Garanhão do SUL's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brian Montenegro ran over to the corner to take the kick. 17 minutes into the match, Leonel Messi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cássio Corinth. C.A Gryffindor's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonel Messi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Cássio Corinth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amado Vigário, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Brian Montenegro came free, but Alex Frasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brian Montenegro scored 4-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alex Frasca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 32ndth minute of the game Brian Montenegro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Garanhão do SUL's Alex Frasca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. C.A Gryffindor were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Garanhão do SUL's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Brian Montenegro took the corner. Garanhão do SUL's Alex Frasca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brian Montenegro in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Garanhão do SUL defense, Brian Montenegro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Frasca. The Garanhão do SUL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Frasca should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, C.A Gryffindor's goal looked a bit too open when Amado Vigário came free, but Cássio Corinth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brian Montenegro was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Brian Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Gryffindor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. In the 55th minute, Brian Montenegro made a precise shot to the right of Alex Frasca. Garanhão do SUL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-1. After 59 played minutes Garanhão do SUL got a freekick which was hit by Leonel Messi. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Brian Montenegro put it in 8-1 from a short distance just to the right of Alex Frasca. Alex Frasca didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C.A Gryffindor's Brian Montenegro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 9-1 in the ordered_time% minute. C.A Gryffindor's attentive Marcelinho Leme managed to snatch the ball when Cassiano Telinhos made a throw-in in the 78th minute of the game. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Cassiano Telinhos hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Dennis Bergkamp left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.A Gryffindor fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-1. In the 84th minute, Dennis Bergkamp got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Garanhão do SUL getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cassiano Telinhos hit a great ball. Akis Kefallinos made in the 89th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Cláudio Balsemão. 90 minutes into the match, Garanhão do SUL's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Bergkamp came free, but Alex Frasca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C.A Gryffindor fans cheered their team off the field, for while Garanhão do SUL had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
