The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Leopoldo Liberto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leopoldo Liberto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Remigio Valerón came out and tried to block the shot, but Leopoldo Liberto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Liberto in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Timoteo Fiz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Boulogne del Ciclón's goal looked a bit too open when Jakes Vila came free, but Daniel Moron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute of the match ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a corner. Boulogne del Ciclón's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Amadeo Lara ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Cristian Reyes managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. With an all-out effort, Boulogne del Ciclón's Remigio Valerón threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Leopoldo Liberto, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 29th minute Jakes Vila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Moron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timoteo Fiz made in the 31st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Leopoldo Liberto. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Leopoldo Liberto sped through ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remigio Valerón. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Laerte Favoretto was substituted for Amadeo Lara. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leopoldo Liberto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Liberto took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Remigio Valerón. Remigio Valerón dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Feliberto Lopez hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Joel Valines hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Boulogne del Ciclón made a substitution. Liu Zhen Ang replaced Natalio Roldanillo. Boulogne del Ciclón made a substitution. Bonifacio Monte replaced Gogo Gabrio. Boulogne del Ciclón's Diego Quetara was substituted for Leopoldo Liberto. A collision led to ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Joel Valines hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Bonifacio Monte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Valerón saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Moron made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jakes Vila in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bonifacio Monte in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Remigio Valerón saved ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO from getting behind. Daniel Moron made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laerte Favoretto in the 67th minute. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Remigio Valerón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bonifacio Monte in the 74th minute of play. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's Guido Escobar was substituted for Jakes Vila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Quetara in the 77th minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Remigio Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Remigio Valerón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bonifacio Monte's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Quetara in the 82nd minute of play forced ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalkeeper Remigio Valerón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute Laerte Favoretto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Moron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Remigio Valerón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Quetara's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. Remigio Valerón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Quetara in the 90th minute of play. In the 92nd minute, Feliberto Lopez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO got a freekick which was hit by Guido Escobar. Remigio Valerón showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diego Quetara in the 96th minute of the match. After 97 minutes ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Liu Zhen Ang who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's goalie and right to Dalmacio Onbera. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. ClUb DePoRtIvO LUGO's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Boulogne del Ciclón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
