Godwin Montesin ran over to the corner to take the kick. Floriana Celtics's Godwin Montesin was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tim Nyberg in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 11th minute, Godwin Montesin made a precise shot to the right of Tim Nyberg. Real Calle's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 16 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Godwin Montesin came free, but Tim Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Real Calle's Hortêncio Teixeira got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tim Nyberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 20th minute of the match. Tim Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 22nd minute of play. In the 22nd minute Alex Testaferrata Viani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tim Nyberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the game, Alex Testaferrata Viani cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Tim Nyberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. George Wennersten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 34th minute, Godwin Montesin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Floriana Celtics fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 40th match minute, Floriana Celtics was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mike Stivala to maneuver through the defense. Mats Sangolt made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Alexander Lingren sent off a good shot on target. Kyle Thake sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benny Benno to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Benny Benno came free, but Mats Sangolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Sangolt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Caldeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 58 minutes of play, Floriana Celtics's Alex Testaferrata Viani made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Nyberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Floriana Celtics's Edward Ellis was substituted for Giorgio Caruana. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benny Benno in the 63rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexander Lingren in the 64th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Mats Sangolt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Nyberg made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Alex Testaferrata Viani sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Real Calle's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Testaferrata Viani came free, but Tim Nyberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 79 played minutes Real Calle got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Caldeira. Tim Nyberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godwin Montesin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Floriana Celtics got a freekick which was hit by Godwin Montesin. In the 81st minute, Godwin Montesin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leon Russel hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kyle Thake in the 84th minute of play forced Real Calle's goalkeeper Tim Nyberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tim Nyberg was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Alex Testaferrata Viani capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Alex Testaferrata Viani really showed his touch with that goal: 0-5. Tim Nyberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Thake in the 92nd minute of play. Mats Sangolt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benny Benno, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The Real Calle fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Floriana Celtics were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
