Spectators: 163 (Terracing: 123, Seating: 37, VIP seats: 3) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giorgio Caruana started the match with the kick off. Mats Sangolt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Azubeli in the 3rd minute of play. Edward Ellis kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 6th minute, Alex Testaferrata Viani made a precise shot to the right of Silvio Nalo. ELMUÑE's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Testaferrata Viani in the 10th minute of play forced ELMUÑE's goalkeeper Silvio Nalo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Eliseo Gaufred put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Mats Sangolt. ELMUÑE's Silvio Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 16th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giorgio Caruana in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Silvio Nalo saved ELMUÑE from getting behind. The corner led ELMUÑE's Celso Chago to fire away a dangerous shot which Mats Sangolt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Kyle Thake had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Silvio Nalo. ELMUÑE's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Thake was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Giorgio Caruana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Silvio Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 26 minutes into the match, Floriana Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Silverio Ongile came free, but Mats Sangolt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 27 in the game by Eliseo Gaufred from a close distance when the talented Mats Sangolt managed to make a qualified save. Floriana Celtics's players were relieved. When ELMUÑE's Eliseo Gaufred in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Floriana Celtics's goalie prevented a goal. ELMUÑE's Eliseo Gaufred was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 29th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Mats Sangolt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silverio Ongile, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ELMUÑE were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Floriana Celtics's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Celso Chago took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Celso Chago got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mats Sangolt quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Floriana Celtics's Mats Sangolt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Floriana Celtics from getting a goal against them. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Floriana Celtics's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celso Chago was slow to take the kick. During this time ELMUÑE's players had a chance to rest. The corner led ELMUÑE's Celso Chago to fire away a dangerous shot which Mats Sangolt despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 47th minute Giorgio Caruana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvio Nalo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Gaufred was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Giorgio Caruana got free with Silvio Nalo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Floriana Celtics defense, Eliseo Gaufred kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mats Sangolt. The Floriana Celtics fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mats Sangolt should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the match, ELMUÑE's goal looked a bit too open when Kyle Thake came free, but Silvio Nalo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ELMUÑE's Damaso Beti got a free kick in the 62nd minute. When Matt Sciortino came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Floriana Celtics fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matt Sciortino couldn't finish the play. ELMUÑE's Silvio Nalo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyle Thake in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliseo Gaufred in the 68th minute of play forced Floriana Celtics's goalkeeper Mats Sangolt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Silvio Nalo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Piscopo in the 71st minute of play. After 73 minutes of play, ELMUÑE's Eliseo Gaufred made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mats Sangolt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mats Sangolt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arnulfo Mateo in the 78th minute of the match. Silvio Nalo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Thake, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. After taking down the ball on Floriana Celtics's corner Matt Sciortino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Silvio Nalo quite easily take care of the ball. Matt Sciortino hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 94 minutes into the match, Kyle Thake dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvio Nalo, 4-3. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ELMUÑE fans cheered their team off the field, for while Floriana Celtics had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
