Yngve Ödman came out of the goal and Lázaro Prestes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lázaro Prestes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Yngve Ödman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Marin Romoşan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yngve Ödman having to interfere. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kerkûk FC's goalkeeper Yngve Ödman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Heide FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Witold Hodyl in the 23rd minute. The corner led Heide FC's Marin Romoşan to fire away a dangerous shot which Yngve Ödman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Kerkûk FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 45th minute. Penalty! Yngve Ödman had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Witold Hodyl's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
51 minutes into the match, Kerkûk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Lázaro Prestes came free, but Yngve Ödman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henning Björk in the 94th minute of play forced Heide FC's goalkeeper Iwan Dziuma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Heide FC played a much better game than Kerkûk FC and deserved their victory. The Kerkûk FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
