The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed William Lundblad the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vallbyn FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and William Lundblad had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Göran Bröms had in the 13thth minute some difficulties stopping Carlos Tello's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Vallbyn FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jules Barrett came free, but Göran Bröms reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rosario Cardona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Göran Bröms read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Göran Bröms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Tello, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute.
