With a little luck, TSV 1860 Berg am Laim's Andy Kau got control of the ball when Miguel Sanches tried to sneak it across the goal line. Miguel Sanches blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andy Kau having to make a save. TSV 1860 Berg am Laim's Andy Kau played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Sanches in the 20th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Andy Kau. That made the score 3-2 after 23 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Miguel Sanches got free with Andy Kau in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-2 at half-time.

In the 76th minute, Miguel Sanches made a precise shot to the right of Andy Kau. TSV 1860 Berg am Laim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-3. Hugh Reh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andy Kau didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Sanches went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-3 was the resulting score. Cédric Payen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Andy Kau came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Lëtzebuerg's Miguel Sanches. But to his dismay, Miguel Sanches quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 10-3.
