In the 8th minute Sebastião Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tord Forsberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tord Forsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romário de Lara, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After some careless play in the Huaröd defense, Roger Couto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tord Forsberg. The Huaröd fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tord Forsberg should have stopped the shot. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Huaröd's goalkeeper Tord Forsberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mota 2017's Torgeir Phan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joar Valrot in the 57th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Roger Couto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mota 2017's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Couto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Sten Hurtig fell near the penalty area in the 61st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Huaröd's protests and gave Sten Hurtig a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, Sten Hurtig hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Huaröd getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Inge Salkvist hit a great ball. Roger Couto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tord Forsberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Huaröd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mota 2017 the free kick. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Sebastião Nascimento took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Tord Forsberg to make any attempt to save it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sebastião Nascimento got free with Tord Forsberg in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Huaröd's Henning Lindmark was substituted for Sten Hurtig. Algot Brandin made in the 87th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sture Brogren. The supporters of Mota 2017 booed when Huaröd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Inge Salkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mota 2017's Torgeir Phan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Brogren in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Mota 2017 walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
